SAPETRO is pleased to announce the appointment of a new management team to lead the company in its new phase of strategic growth. The following appointments have been made:
Managing Director: Dale Rollins
Dale is a highly experienced oil and gas executive with a strong operational management track record in both small and large organisations in the upstream and service sectors. In his over 30 year career, he has worked in diverse locations including Europe, the Middle East, Russia and Africa. His experience includes stints as Deputy Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria and CEO of Salym Petroleum (a Shell Joint Venture) in Russia. Most recently he was Senior Vice-President for Africa and Country Manager for Nigeria for Petrofac and has served as Executive and Non-Executive Director on several Corporate Boards.
Dale holds a B.Sc in Geological Engineering from the South Dakota (USA) School of Mines and has participated in Executive Development Programmes in several business schools including Cornell, Columbia and Insead.
In his new role, his responsibilities include providing strategic business management, overall commercial and technical performance including safety, and ensuring business growth and profitability.
General Manager, Exploration & Production: Babafemi Falaye
Babafemi is a seasoned executive with 38 years of cognate experience in the upstream petroleum industry with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria and Addax Petroleum, including a 4-year cross-posting assignment with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in the Sultanate of Oman.
Babafemi holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) First Class Honours degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as well as a Master of Engineering Science (M. Eng Sc) in Operations Research from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He was a member of the Royal Dutch Shell Group Production Leadership Team.
He will be responsible for the identification, development and exploitation of SAPETRO’s assets and managing relationships with Joint Ventures (JV) Partners.
General Manager, Corporate Services: Dele Aloko
Dele is a lawyer and Human Resources professional with over 25 years’ oil and gas experience. Prior to joining SAPETRO, he worked with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, where he held various positions predominantly in the Human Resources function.
Dele holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985. He is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
He will be responsible for managing the Human Resources, ICT, Corporate Affairs and Administration functions of the company.
Head, Audit, Risk & Compliance: Deen Kudehinbu
Deen is an oil and gas professional with 30 years’ of professional experience in a variety of fields including audit, finance, internal controls, compliance and supply chain management. Prior to joining SAPETRO he worked for over 20 years with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, where he gained significant international exposure working in various countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle-East, Asia and America.
Deen is a chartered accountant and supply chain professional (CIPS) and holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from California Coast University.
He will be responsible for risk management in the company as well as ensuring compliance with industry and statutory standards, regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Head Strategic Planning: Isi Omenai
Isi is an oil and gas professional who built his experience working in key business functions in the Commercial department in East and West Africa where he was responsible for economics, contracting and new business development. He played a central role in the major restructuring of the company.
Isi holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Liverpool and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.
He will be responsible for business planning and strategy, corporate performance monitoring and policy formulation.
Head Legal: Ifueko Uwaifo
Ifueko is a lawyer with over 13 years’ Exploration & Production experience. Prior to joining SAPETRO in 2011, she consulted for numerous multinational and independent companies as well as leading due diligence exercises, commercial negotiations, and drafting and reviewing a wide range of oil and gas agreements.
Ifueko holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Business Law and Transactions from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association (IBA) and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
She will be responsible for ensuring that SAPETRO’s legal interests are protected and that operations and business transactions are compliant with relevant statutory provisions
Further appointments into the roles of Executive Director, Commercial & Business Development and General Manager Finance will be announced in due course.
