SAPETRO acquires interest in Republic of Guinea

SAPETRO  is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 50% interest in an offshore asset in the Republic of Guinea, from SCS Corporation Ltd (SCS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyperdynamics Corporation.

The Contract Area, covering approximately 5,000 km² is one of the largest exploration concessions in West Africa. Extensive technical studies of the area have been conducted, including 17,800 km of 2D seismic and 7,635 km² of 3D seismic in five separate surveys covering both shallower and deep water portions of the concession, with multiple plays, leads and prospects having been identified.

SAPETRO and SCS have commenced the drilling operations for a deep-water exploration well at the Fatala turbidite fan prospect.
