S.A (SAPETRO) a wholly owned subsidiary of South Atlantic Petroleum Limited was incorporated in 2004. In the same year SAPETRO acquired Block I and Seme oil field Exploration Contract, offshore Republic of Benin, West Africa.
The acreage which covers over 550 km2 in water depth of up to 100m is a Joint Venture arrangement between SAPETRO and the Government of the Republic of Benin, with SAPETRO being the Operator. Exploration work began in 2007, with the acquisition of 350 km2 3D seismic over the acreage. ...
